Crushed rock delivered to Meningie

Narrung Road Upgrade

In May, it was all about Narrung Road!

In case you missed it, the Narrung Road Upgrade kicked off this month!
The Coorong District Council engaged the Neo Group to undertake the shoulder widening project. And we (Swan Earthmovers) were responsible for the supply of 3000 tonnes of PM2-20 (20mm pavement material).

In the lead up to the job, Craig, Justin and Scott were kept busy carting crushed rock from Chapmans Pit (near Tailem Bend) to our stockpile in Meningie. The carting kicked off on the Easter weekend and continued through the month. The boys never flinched and kept at the supply – so here’s a great big shout out to them!

Swan Earthmovers truck and belly dumper delivering Limestone rubble on Narrung Road , Meningie

If you went past our depot this month, you would have seen the stockpile. 3,000 tonne was held in the Selby Road yard, and the standing joke was that it would protect Meningie if we were invaded.

Once construction started, Justin Brooks played an important role. Justin was in charge of loading the Belly Dumper, carting the rubble to Narrung Road and releasing the crushed rock exactly where the project crew needed it. Justin kept at this gig for three solid weeks, and we couldn’t be prouder of how his traffic management skills have developed.

The whole Swan Earthmovers team contributed to this job, but Jack and Graham also deserve a special mention for supporting/delivering material just in time for this job.
